Whether you are on your 10th year of working promotional events or you’ve just decided you want to start, knowing the basis of what exactly you are signing up for is always important. A promotional event is created so consumers can experience the Company’s product or service in an interactive setting. Directly engaging with a brand’s target audience often allows the Company to directly see how consumers respond; while being able to deliver their brand messaging points.

Brand Ambassadors are hired as the middle man between the Company and the Consumer. As the hired talent, you are at the event to promote for the clients brands. Some events may require you to gather information or feedback from consumers. This is always the case when executing a product demo. Most product demos or flyering distribution events require you submit a recap form after the event. The recap form has varies questions the client needs feedback on to determine their marketing and selling path. Other events include duties such as helping facilitate surveys, gathering emails or contact information for lead generation purposes and directing marketing.

Now, when it comes to your profile please be sure these 3 key components are always updated:

  • Photos: Uploading your photographs are one of the key elements in building a great profile. We recommend including one close up or headshot, one business casual body shot and then one body shot in going out attire. Uploading a photo of you working an event is always a plus as well. Please be sure to upload new photos every three months or so, as clients want to ensure the photos we send to them from your profile are current.
  • Experience: The only item more important than your photos, is an updated resume with your promo experience. Assessing and maintaining your resume on your profile will assistance clients in seeing how much related experience you have for the position that are looking to be booked for. It also makes it easier for yourself to apply for jobs as because you can reference prior experience that is already listed in your resume section of your profile. We recommend having a paragraph that can be copy and pasted when answering job posting questions. This blurb should list previous events and brands that you’ve worked for.
  • Contact Information: When we’re interested in booking talent, the first thing we do is call the number listed on your profile. There are always a few cases where these numbers are no longer in service, meaning the person ultimately does not get booked. An easy way to not have this happen to you is, always make sure your contact information is correct. This includes your address, phone number, and email.

We look forward to working with you in the future!
